Doosan Enerbility, a major Korean plant and gas turbine supplier, said on Friday that it has won an order from a U.S. company to supply seven 380-megawatt-class gas turbines for a data center project.
Under the deal, Doosan Enerbility will sequentially supply one gas turbine and generator per month starting in May 2029 for the data center being built by the U.S. firm. With the latest deal, the company will supply a total of 12 gas turbines to the client.
The company declined to disclose the value of the contract and the name of the client, citing business confidentiality.
Industry sources, however, said the turbines are expected to be supplied to xAI, Elon Musk's AI startup.
Doosan Enerbility said its recent success in securing gas turbine orders in the United States has been driven by the company's proven performance, swift delivery times and service support through its Houston-based subsidiary Doosan Turbomachinery Services.
