An AI platform developed by anticyberbullying activist Min Byoung-chul, the chairman of Sunfull Foundation, has been adopted by Lotte Hotel and Kwangwoon Artificial Intelligence High School in Seoul, the Sunfull Foundation said in a press statement.
The AI platform, dubbed ChatKIND, evaluates compliments and encouragements posted on the platform and gives them a so-called kindness score, which then translates into real-life incentives, such as vouchers or paid leave.
ChatKIND expands Min’s 19 years of devotion into a movement that uses AI technology in workplaces and classrooms to spread kindness online and combat malicious or hurtful language.
Doo Kyung-tae, general manager of Lotte Hotel Seoul, said ChatKIND “contributes to reducing conflicts and bolstering teamwork among employees by helping them practice a mindset of kindness and sympathy in their everyday lives.”
Kwangwoon Artificial Intelligence High School, which previously piloted ChatKIND, will officially introduce the service starting in the spring semester of the 2026 academic year. The high school confirmed that ChatKIND helped students voluntarily soften their language.
According to Min, a company’s organizational culture and customer satisfaction will eventually be the most important indicators regarding its capabilities, and a compensation system that rewards kindness and sympathy will be the new standard for environmental, social and governance, or ESG, management.
“AI technology should not threaten [our society] but spread positivity,” Min said.
Min, as a developer of ChatKIND, won the grand prize in AI Innovation and Social Contribution at the 18th App Award Korea 2025 in November last year.
