Hangye Pass in Inje County, Gangwon, is blanketed in snow on Dec. 16. Sitting 1,004 meters (3,608 feet) above sea level between Mount Seorak and Mount Jeombong along the Taebaek mountain range, the pass is a key route linking Mount Seorak to the East Sea coast and is famed for its winter scenery.
