GS Engineering & Construction Q3 profit soars 940% to 120.8 billion won

GS Engineering & Construction on Thursday reported its third quarter net profit of 120.8 billion won ($87.5 million), up 939.5 percent from a year earlier.
The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the July-September period rose 35.9 percent on year to 81.8 billion won. Revenue increased 0.1 percent to 3.1 trillion won.
The earnings beat market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 36.6 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of
