DickPunks' Kim Tae-hyun, Chef Choi Hyun-seok's daughter announce relationship

“Culinary Class Wars” Chef Choi Hyun-seok’s daughter, Choi Yeon-soo, is dating rock band DickPunks' member Kim Tae-hyun, the couple announced on Monday.

“Choi and Kim are in a relationship with marriage in mind,” Choi’s agency YG KPlus said in a press release.

“I’ve met someone who has been steadfastly by my side through tough times,” Kim said in his post on his fan page the same day. “As we continue our beautiful connection, we decided to look toward the future together."

Kim did not provide any details about their marriage plans in the post.

Choi is 25 years old, and Kim is 37.

Choi has appeared on various TV shows, including Channel A’s “A Man Who Feeds the Dog” in 2017. That same year, she competed in a model contest and later participated in the idol audition program “Produce 48” in 2018.

She has expressed her longtime support for DickPunks on Instagram multiple times. When Kim appeared on “King of Mask Singer” in 2016, she shared her excitement, writing, “When I heard that DickPunks was appearing on 'King of Mask Singer,' I ran home from a family gathering. When I heard the first line [of the song], I was so moved I started sobbing, hitting the wall until I fractured my pinkie finger.”

DickPunks released its first album in 2010 and gained popularity after becoming the runner-up on the audition program “Superstar K Season 4” in 2012.
