Samsung SDS posts 5.2% rise in Q3 net income to $134 million

Samsung SDS on Wednesday reported its third-quarter net income of 185.8 billion won ($134 million), up 5.2 percent from a year earlier.
 
The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 252.8 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 193 billion won a year ago. Sales rose 11.3 percent to 3.56 trillion won.

The earnings fell behind market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 188.2 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
