Embattled Alanyaspor forward Hwang Ui-jo scored a goal in his side’s 2-1 loss to Antalyaspor in the Super Lig at Alanya Oba Stadium in Turkey on Sunday.

Hwang opened the scoring in the 25th minute, marking his first goal since a league match against Adana Demirspor on Sept. 22.

However, Antalyaspor leveled with a goal from Moussa Djenepo in the 62nd minute, followed by another goal from Adolfo Gaich in the 75th minute that sealed the team’s 2-1 win.

Sunday’s result marks Alanyaspor’s fifth league loss of the season, reflecting a poor start. The club has registered two wins, three draws and five losses, placing them in 16th position in the 19-team table as of press time Monday.

As for Hwang, Sunday’s goal comes after he attended his first trial in Korea on Oct. 16 over allegations that he filmed sex tapes without his partners’ consent. Prosecutors sought a four-year prison sentence for him.

The incident stems from an Instagram post shared by an unidentified user who claimed to be an ex-lover of Hwang in June last year. The user shared a video showing a naked man with a woman, claiming the man to be Hwang.

The user turned out to be Hwang’s sister-in-law, who was sentenced to three years in prison for leaking the illicit content in March this year. The Supreme Court also upheld the lower court’s sentence in September.

Hwang’s attorney said that the footballer admitted to all charges during the trial, although he previously released a handwritten statement in June last year denying the allegations.

Hwang, 32, is also unable to play for the Korean national team, as the Korea Football Association suspended him in November last year for the duration of the ongoing investigation into his charges.
