The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety halted sales for one of Bibigo’s kimchi dumpling products on Thursday after identifying plastic inside some of them.

The particular item is the 400-gram (14-ounce) packet of Bibigo Flavorful Kimchi Mandu that expires on June 23, 2025 and is produced by CJ CheilJedang.

The Food Ministry asked customers to not buy the specific product and to return any bought items to the store they purchased them at.

CJ CheilJedang’s Korean food brand Bibigo is known for its ready-to-eat products like dumplings, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and kimchi. More than 100 of its products are exported to over 70 countries.

Correction, Oct. 24: An earlier version of this article misstated that the Food Ministry asked customers to not buy from the specific brand.
