'Culinary Class Wars' tiramisu by winner 'Napoli Matfia' to hit CU stores nationwide

The marron tiramisu created by chef “Napoli Matfia” on Netflix's hit cooking show "Culinary Class Wars" will be available at CU stores nationwide starting Thursday.
 
The convenience store chain announced Wednesday that the highly sought-after tiramisu will be sold across its 18,000 stores.

Previously, all 150,000 cups of the tiramisu sold out in just nine days through an app-exclusive pre-sale.
 
Chef “Napoli Matfia,” whose real name is Kwon Seong-jun, created the marron tiramisu during the eighth episode of the hit Netflix cooking survival show, where chefs were tasked with making a "creative and tasty" dish using only convenience store ingredients.

Customers can check the tiramisu’s availability at specific stores through CU’s Pocket CU app.
 
CU is also releasing another product based on Chef Kwon’s recipe on Oct. 30 — a collaboration between Yeonsei milk fresh cream bread and marron tiramisu.  
 
"We are committed to developing unique products that bring new excitement to customers by collaborating with industry experts," said Kim Go-ni, a product planner at BGF Retail’s snack product team.
