A commissioning ceremony for the cruise ferry Panstar Miracle takes place at Daesun Shipbuilding and Engineering in the southeastern port city of Busan on Thursday.
The 22,000-ton luxury ferry, the first cruise ship made of homegrown technology, is set to service the Busan-Osaka route in April next year, coinciding with the opening of the World Expo in the Japanese city.
The ferry will house a high-end hotel, a performance hall, an outdoor swimming pool and a duty-free shop.
