Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Crafts and Design Foundation have co-hosted a hanbok (Korean traditional dress) fashion show inside the courtyard of the Korean cultural center in Paris, known as the Korea House on Aug. 1.
The event was held as a pre-event of “Play the K, Allez la Corée,” an event aimed to promote Korea and its culture through sports diplomacy with participants including key figures from the International Olympic Committee.

The fashion show, directed by hanbok designer Seo Young-hee, showcased hanbok, ranging from traditional to wedding, designed by seven hanbok designers including Kim Young-jin, who is better known internationally with her brand tchaikim, Kim In-ja, Kim Ji-won, Song Hye-mi, among others.
