Flights were canceled at Jeju International Airport amid downpours Sunday during the long weekend for Children’s Day.
According to the Korea Airport Corporation, 40 Jeju International Airport flights — 20 outbound and 20 inbound — were canceled as of noon.

Most of the canceled flights were scheduled to depart or arrive after 3:00 p.m.
Jeju International Airport said the cancellations are due to the harsh weather at both Jeju International Airport and Gimhae International Airport.
Strong wind warnings have been issued across the island.

The airport is currently placed under wind shear advisory.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said that strong winds and wind shear are expected to continue until dawn on Tuesday, possibly disrupting the airport’s operation.
It also advised passengers to check their flight information in advance for possible disruptions.
