A bullet struck a vehicle that was traveling near a U.S. military base.
On Wednesday, the Korean military and police said they are investigating the matter.
The bullet hit the windshield of an SUV at around 6:30 p.m. in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, on Tuesday.
The driver was not injured.
The vehicle was reportedly shot approximately 1 kilometer from a U.S. military firing range.
