A fire broke out at the Korea University campus's Woodang Hall in Seongbuk District, northern Seoul, on Monday.
 
The fire started at a machine room on the basement floor of the building at around 10:48 a.m., according to fire authorities.
 
No casualties were reported, and professors and students have been evacuated.
 
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
 
A total of 28 fire trucks and 110 firefighters were dispatched to campus, successfully extinguishing the fire as of 11:32 a.m.
 
Korea University closed Woodang Hall and canceled classes scheduled in the building for the day.
