Swedish Ambassador to Korea Karl-Olof Andersson hosted the "Sweden Day 2026" reception in Seoul on Thursday evening to celebrate Sweden's National Day, featuring immersive company booths from IKEA, Atlas Copco and Volvo.

"It is a great honor to stand in front of you today and celebrate the close and enduring partnership of trust, innovation and shared values between Sweden and the Republic of Korea," Andersson said in his welcoming remarks, reflecting on comprehensive bilateral triumphs — including the recent clean energy MOU, the keel laying of a new icebreaker in Ulsan and upcoming direct flights between Incheon and Stockholm.

"This year's theme, 'Made with Sweden,' reflects Sweden's spirit of openness, collaboration and international partnership, as true progress is built together through cooperation between countries, companies, researchers and creators," he added.
