Israeli Embassy strikes chord of friendship with concert

The Embassy of Israel in Korea held a "Korea-Israel Special Concert" with the United Orchestra at the Seoul Arts Center in southern Seoul on Thursday evening to mark the 64th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The orchestra, led by Conductor Kim Bong-mi, opened the concert with Ahn Eak-tai's "Symphonic Fantasy Korea" (1936) and Israel's national anthem, followed by performances from artists of both countries, including violinist Kim Hyun-gi and internationally acclaimed Israeli pianist Aviram Reichert.

"Today's concert is far more than an artistic performance; it reflects the longstanding friendship our two nations have built on mutual respect, our shared democratic values and a deep appreciation for culture as a bridge between our peoples," Israeli Ambassador Rafael Harpaz said. "I hope this meaningful evening will further strengthen the bonds between Israel and Korea and inspire continued friendship and cooperation between our two countries."
