Passenger train services on the Gyeongbu Line were disrupted Thursday after heavy rain affected the Chungcheong and Sejong area between Bugang Station and Seochang Station.

As of 8 a.m., Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) suspended passenger train services of two Mugunghwa trains and one Saemaeul train operating between Daejeon and Seoul; two Mugunghwa trains between Daejeon and Jecheon; and one Mugunghwa train between Iksan and Yongsan.

KTX high-speed rail services are operating normally.

"We ask passengers to use alternative transportation if possible or check train operating information through the KorailTalk app or the Korail website before traveling," a Korail representative said.
