Foreign minister to visit U.S. for talks with Rubio on Friday: Foreign Ministry

Foreign Minister Cho Hyun plans to visit Washington for talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week, Seoul's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Wednesday.

Cho is scheduled to depart for the United States on Thursday and hold talks with Rubio the following day, according to the Foreign Ministry.

"The two sides will discuss a wide range of issues, including Korea-U.S. relations, the Korean Peninsula and regional and global issues," the ministry said in a release.
