Legendary vocalist Lee So-ra will return to her solo career with new music after a seven-year gap.

The new single, set to drop in July, is her first release since "Song Request" (2019), which featured Suga of BTS. The agency has not yet confirmed the exact day of the release.

Following the release of her 2019 song, Lee has been participating in drama soundtracks, including "Encounter" (2018), "Hospital Playlist" (2020) and "Mount Jiri" (2021).

"It's been a while since I released a new song, so it gives me fresh feelings, and I hope a lot of people give it a listen," Lee said in a press release Monday.

"I'm thankful to everyone who has waited for me, and I'll be singing much more from here on, so I hope you continue to follow me."

Lee debuted in 1993 in a vocal group and had her first solo release in 1995. She is known for her hit track "The Wind is Blowing" (2004) and her appearance on the singer-survival program "I Am a Singer" (2011-15).
