Pop-up store to celebrate 'Demon Hunters' anniversary event in Seoul
A pop-up event celebrating the one-year anniversary of Netflix's hit animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” (2025) will take place in western Seoul's The Hyundai Seoul department store.
Named "KPop Demon Hunters One Year Anniversary POP-UP," the event will run from May 21 to June 3. The event is scheduled to subsequently open in major Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore after its Seoul run.
The event is scheduled to offer merchandise inspired by the film. It will also offer photo spots focused on the film’s universe and plotline, according to bemyfriends on Tuesday.
The pop-up store will require advance reservations through the online booking platform Naver Booking.
The event will be operated by bemyfriends, a tech startup that operates the fandom business platform b.stage, which focuses on creating online community spaces for fans of K-pop, esports and music.
The company was in charge of the animated film's first official pop-up in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong District, eastern Seoul, in December 2025. Last year's pop-up drew in 60,000 visitors over three weeks, according to bemyfriends.
The animated film was released on Netflix on June 20, 2025. It won two awards at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15 last year: Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for its hit track "Golden" (2025).
