Virtual idol boy band Plave will release its Japanese digital single "Flame" on Wednesday  in collaboration with Japanese singer-songwriter milet.

"Flame," set to drop at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, was produced in part by Plave members, with lyrics written by milet.

The song is Plave's first original Japanese release since "Kakurenbo" in June 2025, the band's Japanese debut single.

Plave debuted in March 2023 as a five-member virtual boy band where the members, whose real names and faces are not unveiled, perform as animated avatars. The band's fourth EP "Caligo Pt.2" sold 1.25 million copies in its first week of release in April

Singer-songwriter milet began her music activities in 2018 and dropped the EP "inside you" in 2019, her first EP released with a major music agency. She performed at Japan's end-of-year music show "NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" (1951-) and sang at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021.

Plave will kick off its first world tour "Keep it Manic" at Incheon Munhak Stadium on Sept. 12 and 13, where the band will perform in Kanagawa, Japan; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Bangkok; Singapore; Taipei, Taiwan; and Macau.
