Netflix unveiled a series of updates to its streaming platform for members in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, including a vertical video feed and new games — featuring characters from the hit animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" (2025) — for kids.

"In July, members in Korea and Japan will experience the next chapter of our mobile experience, including a redesigned homepage with enhanced navigation and a vertical video feed called Clips," Elizabeth Stone, the chief product and technology officer at Netflix, said at a press event with media from APAC countries.

Netflix's Clips functions as a TikTok-style video feed, designed to help members discover new content on the platform.

The feature, which is only available on mobile devices, was rolled out in April in other countries, including India, Australia and New Zealand.

"We're particularly excited to bring this to APAC, where we know many of our audiences experience Netflix on their mobile devices every day," Stone said.

The U.S. video streaming giant is also adding a collection of games for children, featuring characters from "KPop Demon Hunters," on June 20 to mark the first anniversary of the film's release.

The games will be available on Netflix Playground, a standalone mobile app for children aged 8 and under that offers games with popular characters such as Peppa Pig and Sesame Street.

"We are really focused on expanding Playground," Lisa Burgess, the general manager at Netflix Games, said. "We want to have about 25 different [intellectual property]-based experiences by the end of the year."

Netflix officially entered the gaming industry in 2021 and has since released more than 100 games, primarily for mobile.
