HYBE girl group loses a member even before debut

HYBE’s upcoming multinational girl group, Saint Satine, will debut with one less member than initially planned following Lexie’s departure.

“Following extensive and thoughtful discussions with Lexie regarding the group’s future activities, both parties have mutually agreed to part ways,” HYBE wrote in a notice posted on the fan community platform Weverse.

“While Lexie will no longer continue as a member of Saint Satine or as part of [HYBE x Geffen], we sincerely wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Saint Satine will continue to prepare for its debut, HYBE x Geffen confirmed.

The group is the second global girl group launched in collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records. The first was Katseye.

Alongside Lexie, who is Swedish, Saint Satine originally comprised Emily from the United States, Samara from Brazil and Sakura from Japan.
