Cortis’ Juhoon voted K-pop’s most beautiful smile

Boy band Cortis’ Juhoon has been selected as the K-pop artist with the most beautiful smile, according to fan-voting platform Picnic.

In the poll, which ran from Sept. 4 through 18, Juhoon won with 401,968 votes. NCT’s Jeno came in second with 383,743 votes, closely followed by GOT7’s JAY B with 383,562 votes.

Picnic attributed Juhoon’s selection to his contrasting image, noting his comfortable and bright personality when interacting with fans, which contrasts with his charismatic and energetic image on stage.

The fan-voting platform highlighted that this friendly image is becoming part of the personal brand fans associate with artists, beyond their appearance.

“As the content through which fans encounter artists becomes more diverse, including fancams, short-form videos, live broadcasts and fan communities, fans remember their natural expressions even offstage, contributing to an artist’s success,” a Picnic spokesperson said. “There are also many cases in which fans who first encounter an artist through a short video or photo become interested in an individual member after noticing their natural expressions and behavior.”

Cortis has also continued to see growth in album sales, according to the fan-voting platform. The group’s second EP, “GreenGreen,” recently surpassed 4 million copies in cumulative sales. The milestone was reached about four months after its release in May, making Cortis one of the artists in Korea to surpass 4 million copies in sales for a single album this year.
