The panels will be installed at idle sites of Hyundai's manufacturing plants, including in Ulsan, utilizing spaces such as factory roofs and parking lots.
The modules will produce around 27 gigawatt hours of electricity, enough to reduce around 12,000 tons of carbon emissions.
"The installment of solar panels in idle space is one of the most realistic ways to realize carbon neutrality," said Hanwha Q Cells CEO Lee Koo-yung. "Hanwha Q Cells will actively respond to the demand for renewable energy from companies inside and outside of Korea."
