Amcham launches K-Doorknock program to help Korean firms enter U.S. market

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (Amcham) launched its four-day K-Doorknock program on Monday to support Korean companies entering the U.S. market. 

K-Doorknock, much like Amcham's regular Doorknock initiative, is designed to shepherd business leaders to Washington to engage directly with U.S. policymakers on pressing issues in the bilateral economic relationship.

Where the original Doorknock program was oriented primarily toward U.S. firms, K-Doorknock trains its focus more squarely on Korean companies, forging concentrated networking channels on their behalf.

Senior executives from Hyundai Motor Group, LG Group, Dunamu, Hangang Asset Management, HKI America Inc and SoluM will participate for the inaugural event. 

Throughout the four-day mission, from Monday to Thursday, delegates will meet with senior White House officials and officials from the U.S. administration, including the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the Department of Commerce, the Department of State and the National Security Council, as well as members of Congress from both parties, including leaders of the Congressional Korea Caucus and key congressional committees, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, leading think tanks and policy experts.
