The Korea Football Association (KFA)'s new Korea Football Hall of Fame has found a permanent home in Cheonan, South Chungcheong.

The KFA signed a business agreement with the city of Cheonan on Wednesday to house the Korea Football Hall of Fame inside the Football History Museum that is set to be built in Cheonan.

Cheonan city will operate the Hall of Fame in a permanent exhibition at the museum, which is yet to begin construction.

The KFA will provide the necessary materials for the exhibition as well as a list of figures to be inducted in the Hall of Fame.

“Seven figures — Kim Yong-shik, Kim Hwa-jip, Hong Deok-young, Lee Hoi-taek, Cha Bum-geun, Chung Mong-joon and Guus Hiddink — have already been inducted into a small Korea Football Hall of Fame housed inside Seoul World Cup Stadium,” Park Il-ki, a manager at the KFA, said. “It is very meaningful to have a new permanent space to commemorate Korean football heroes inside the football museum.
