Four Korean cars clinched top spots in the "2023 Best of Awards" announced by Cars.com, a U.S.-based car review website, on Tuesday.

Kia Niro, Kia Carnival, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Genesis G90 were the winners.

Cars.com's "2023 Best of Awards" determines winners for six categories, including Best Car, Best Electric Vehicle (EV) and Best Family Car of 2023, by assessing the quality, innovativeness and value of cars launched in 2023.

Hyundai Motor Group's cars won four of the six categories.

Niro won the Best Car of 2023 with its affordability and design.

"Niro rises to the top because of its affordability in all three powertrains: EV, hybrid and plug-in hybrid," Cars.com editor-in-chief Jenni Newman said. "Its dynamic dashboard design, padded surfaces and satin-finish accents sport an SUV-like profile."

Carnival won the Best Family Car of 2023. Various safety and comfort features, along with ample occupant space, earned high scores. Kia's Telluride, which won the award last year, also came in as a finalist.

Hyundai's Ioniq 5 was named the Best EV of 2023. Cars.com editors gave high marks for its ultra-fast 800-volt multi-charging.

The redesigned Genesis G90 won the Best Luxury Car of 2023 with its improved styling and comfort features, such as power-closing doors, massaging seats and touchscreen control interface for rear passengers.
