Philips Korea appoints new company head

Philips Korea appointed Park Jae-in, 51, as the new head of the company.
Park will also serve as the chief of the Health Systems division, which handles the company's healthcare business.
Park has over 20 years of experience in many global healthcare firms including Abbott, Johnson and Johnson and Getinge, according to Philips Korea.
After receiving an MBA at Yonsei University, Park previously worked as a sales manager at Johnson and Johnson Korea. He also served as the country manager of Getinge for Korea.
In 2016, Park served as the head of the precision diagnosis and image-guided therapy division at Philips Korea for about three years.
Until right before joining Philips as the head, he served as the representative director of Abbott Korea.
"It's an honor to join Philips Korea, the company that has been contributing to the growth of Korea's healthcare market and raising people's quality of life," Park said. "I will try my best to lead the company's new change and growth by listening to the voices of my employees and customers carefully."
