Collapse at sewage pipe reinforcement site leaves one worker dead

The ground at a sewage pipe reinforcement site in the city of Yangju in Gyeonggi gave way Friday morning, leaving one person dead, according to Yangju Fire Station.
The collapse took place around 10:20 a.m.
The worker was found dead in a 5-meter (16-feet) deep pit, two hours after firefighters began a rescue mission.
Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
